Israeli soldiers shot dead a Palestinian man Monday in the Gaza Strip near the entrance of the Gush Katif Jewish settlement bloc, hospital officials were quoted by AFP as saying Monday.
Mohammed Nafiz Abu Moussa, 21, was shot with a live bullet to his stomach while he was in the Khan Yunis refugee camp near Gush Katif, the officials added.
Witnesses told the agency that Israeli soldiers fired on Abu Moussa and a group of Palestinian youths who gathered near an Israeli checkpoint leading to the area surrounding Gush Katif.
On Sunday, four Palestinian youths, including a 12-year-old boy, were injured after being fired on by Israeli soldiers in Gaza, reported Haaretz newspaper.
In another incident, Israeli soldiers based near Gush Katif injured an 18-year-old Palestinian, as he was riding in a taxi on the road to the Gaza City airport, said the paper -- Albawaba.com
