Palestinian man detained near Jerusalem Old City for carrying large knife

A 25-year-old man from the city of Samu'a, located near Hebron, was caught on Friday near the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem's Old City with a large knife on his person after allegedly purchasing the knife at a nearby supermarket.

The knife was discovered by a security canine unit. Security forces believe the man may have been planning an attack

The man has been detained, and circumstances surrounding the event are being investigated.
