Heavy exchanges of fire were taking place at Kfar Darom, a Jewish settlement in the Gaza strip, said Palestinian sources.
The army has told civilians to stay in the bunkers, and is firing with machineguns and antitank rockets, they added.
Meanwhile, heavy fire exchanges between armed Palestinians and Israeli forces were still underway in the Gilo Jewish settlement, and other areas in the West Bank, said the same sources, who added that Palestinians shots hit two residential streets in the settlement.
