Panasonic’s LUMIX Awarded Top European Camera Award
Panasonic’s LUMIX TZ5, known in the Middle East as TZ15, has been presented with Europe’s most coveted photography award at the recent EISA awards.
Coinciding with this recognition, the TZ15’s sister camera, the TZ11, has been named as the Editor’s Choice in PC Magazine Middle & Near East’s August edition.
Both of these cameras are equipped with a 28mm wide-angle lens that lets the user capture impressive scenes with a 10x optical zoom. They also feature enhanced functions such as a high-resolution Intelligent LCD and LUMIX’s signature “IA” intelligence which allows them to automatically adjust themselves to the light and surroundings.
An official statement from EISA said: “The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 (Middle East TZ15) has an extensive zoom range extending from very wide to telephoto angles of view. The 10x Leica DC 28-280mm (equivalent) lens provides focal lengths to suit almost every style and subject, in a single very useful unit. The camera’s compact size, slim profile and high 9-million-pixel image quality make it an ideal travel camera, as well as one you will always want to carry with you every day.”
EISA is the unique association of special interest magazines from 20 European countries. In June each year, the editors-in-chief from all EISA member magazines meet to decide which of products analyzed in their publications during the past year deserve the coveted EISA Award in the fields of Audio, Video, Home Theatre, Photography and Mobile Electronics. There is no doubt that this EISA Award falls on the products that are declared outstanding above any other ones in that field.
Panasonic Marketing Middle East AV Product Manager Hitesh Ojha said that EISA’s recognition of one of its premier LUMIX models shows how advanced and user friendly the LUMIX brand has become.
“LUMIX is recognised as a leader in its field and this endorsement, coming from one of Europe’s most respected technical authorities, reinforces that reputation,” he said. “The new LUMIX models represent major advances in photographic technology. First, we incorporated an Intelligent Auto mode which enables easy and fun photography by leaving all settings to the cameras inbuilt intelligence. Secondly, the new wide-angle lenses expanding shooting capabilities, meaning that even the most novice of users can now shoot like professionals. We are very proud to have been recognised for our efforts.”
