Park Town Capital PLC to develop Luxury Residences at Port Louis Grenada

Following the recent acquisition of a site at the Abu Dhabi Saraya development, and continuing its global development pipeline, Park Town Capital has secured its next luxury development project.

Park Town Capital PLC (PTC) has been appointed as the lead residential developer for the luxury Port Louis development on the West Indies Island of Grenada by the Chairman and Founder of the project, Peter de Savary. Park Town Capital is in final negotiation with Yoo, the international design, branding and development company co-founded by John Hitchcox and Philippe Starck to carry out the design.

In a deal brokered by Cushman & Wakefield Residential, Park Town Capital will develop around 100 luxury villas and apartments, each between 4,000 and 6,000 sq ft. The properties surround a state-of-the-art marina operated by Camper & Nicholsons offering 300 berths with deep water anchorage for seagoing yachts of up to 300 feet. Port Louis residents also will benefit from luxury hotel services, tax free shopping, signature bars and restaurants, an associated golf course, and a private air terminal at Grenada International Airport.

Daniel McGowan, Chairman, Park Town Capital PLC, said: “Port Louis is an idyllic location in one of the most beautiful natural harbours in the world.  We are delighted to be working in partnership with Peter de Savary and leading design company Yoo. Port Louis is a demonstration of our global ambitions following our projects in Europe and the Middle East.”

Duncan Wilson, Development Director, Park Town Capital PLC, said: “Not only will the Port Louis development create the Carribean equivalent of St Tropez it will also create a significant contribution of the economy of Grenada over the long term. We believe that a development of this scale and quality will be the catalyst to establish Grenada as the most exclusive and desirable tourist locations in the West Indies. Park Town’s opportunity is to develop this transformation from the beginning.”

Nikki Beach, supported by the de Savary Group, plans to construct a 5 star hotel resort within Port Louis. Consisting of the famous Nikki Beach Club, night club and spa, the accommodation will be a range of apartments and suites. The resort will have its own beach and water sport facilities as well as usual resort activities.
In addition, the resort will own its own private mega dock suitable for exceptionally large yachts or small private/club cruise ships.

The development, available through Cushman and Wakefield, is due to be completed in mid-2010 and is targeted to international high net worth individuals and celebrities seeking privacy in one of the last truly authentic and unique destinations in the Caribbean.
