Passports for 1,086 naturalized Bahrainis have been issued following the directives of the Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Bahrain Tribune reported Tuesday.
The Undersecretary for Immigration and Passports at the Ministry of Interior, Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, was quoted by the daily as saying that these would be handed over in batches on a daily basis starting Tuesday until March 28th.
He said that the directorate had sincerely tried to speed up the issuance of the first installment of passports and will continue the efforts to implement the directives related to passports for naturalized Bahrainis, the deadline for which is December 16th – Albawaba.com
