Perfume Sales Boom in the Saudi Market During Ramadan

Besides being a month of giving and fasting, Ramadan is also traditionally a month when purchases of incense plants skyrockets. Local sources estimate that demand for incense plants during Ramadan doubles, according to Al-Jazirah newspaper. The sources value the Saudi incense market at SR 300 million annually.  

 

Besides these plants, eastern perfumes are popular purchases during Ramadan. The Arabian Incense Plants and Eastern Perfume Trading Company, which operates 138 branches in Saudi Arabia and throughout the Gulf states, has recently offered up to 50% price discounts on its various brands of perfumes. (SR3.75=$1).
