The banned Kurdistan Workers party (PKK) has announced plans to give a fresh start to a campaign in Turkey it had initiated in Europe, reported the Turkish Daily News.
The "I'm PKK" campaign had been started in Britain, Germany, France and other countries.
The desired result apparently was not achieved and so the organization has announced plans to start the campaign afresh in Turkey starting on May 31, the paper said.
Osman Ocalan, younger brother of Abdullah, the PKK chieftain sitting in prison on Imrali island, reportedly addressed a gathering in northern Iraq and said this was the PKK's last chance.
"If we do not see the support we are looking for, our party's difficulties will increase. We cannot find support in Europe and we cannot persuade the people to support us. May 31 is our turning point. Our last ace. However, our previous failures give me cause for concern," he was quoted as saying.
Abdullah Ocalan was sentenced to death after he was abducted in Kenya by Turkish special forces in 1999.
He has appealed against his death penalty to the European court of human rights – Albawaba.com
