Australian police have stormed a Sydney cafe where Iranian refugee Man Haron Monis has been holding an unknown number of hostages, Reuters reports.
Witnesses reported hearing heavy gunfire as the siege took place and at least six suspected hostages were seen fleeing the scene moments prior.
One woman was seen being helped out of the building by police and another two people were wheeled out on stretchers.
Police now say the hostage crisis is officially over. Three people are dead including the gunman.
