Porsche introduces new entry models for Panamera range

With the introduction of the Panamera and Panamera 4 Porsche Centre Jordan adds two new models to its Gran Turismo range. Featuring the company's all-new, fuel efficient 300-horsepower V6 engine, the Panamera transmits its power to the road via the rear wheels, while the Panamera 4 comes as standard with active all-wheel drive.

The Porsche-designed 3.6-liter, 90-degree V6 engine with Direct Fuel Injection (DFI) is built on the same line as the normally aspirated and twin-turbocharged 4.8-liter V8 engines found in the Panamera S, 4S and Turbo. The new engine propels the Panamera and Panamera 4 from 0 to 100km/h in 6.3 and 6.1 seconds with its 7-speed Porsche-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe. In conjunction with the Sports Chrono Package Plus (incl. Launch Control), this V6 Gran Turismo outperforms the magic six-second limit in the Sport Plus mode, accelerating from a standstill to 100km/h in 5.9 seconds.

As a whole, these new models provide high levels of performance, agility and the same safety systems found in the V8 Panameras, yet they return even better fuel economy figures than the already efficient Panamera S, 4S and Turbo. Equipped with the PDK and featuring an Auto Start Stop function, both models consume significantly less than 10 litres of fuel on 100 kilometres. Outstanding acceleration and a low fuel consumption values is not a contradiction, but rather the implementation of what best characterizes Porsche: Intelligent Performance. In this case Weissach's engineers have focused on a lightweight design part with the wide spread of the gears of the 7-speed PDK, the continuously variable adjustment of the intake camshaft VarioCam Plus and an electrical system recuperation, which helps to charge the battery whenever the vehicle is decelerated.

In its ambience and features, the interior of both the Panamera and Panamera 4 offers the same elegance and sporting style already featured in the V8 models. The six-cylinder models come standard with comfort seats, four-zone climate control and Porsche Communication Management (PCM) incorporating a seven-inch colour touchscreen. A vast variety of optional features guarantee the satisfaction of individual driving comfort.

"Just eight months after the successful regional launch of the V8-powered Panamera S, Panamera 4S and Panamera Turbo, these two new models combine the exclusivity, sportiness and individual comfort of the Porsche Panamera with particularly economic performance", said Deesch Papke, Managing Director of Porsche Middle East and Africa.

Imad Hanania, Brand Manager of Porsche Centre Jordan adds: "The V6 Panamera is the perfect entry-level version of Porsche's Gran Turismo series. We are certain that our customers will enjoy this superior model with a sporty character, high comfort, everyday driving qualities and outstanding efficiency."
