The power was cut Thursday in much of the Palestinian town of Ramallah and nearby West Bank areas after it came under attack from Israeli combat helicopters, residents said, reported (AFP)
The power supply, controlled largely by Israel, was also turned off to Arab villages outside of Ramallah, residents said. It was not clear if the electricity supply was knocked out by the missile attacks or switched off.
Helicopters also fired missiles in Gaza City in retaliation for the death of two Israeli soldiers by an angry Palestinian mob in the flashpoint town of Ramallah earlier in the day -- (AFP)
