ALBAWABA- In support of the Al-Qassam Brigades narrative regarding an armed ambush of its fighters that resulted in the killing of 25 Israeli officers and soldiers, along with dozens injured, a preliminary investigation by the Israeli army has provided additional insights into the incident.

The Israeli army's initial findings confirm that an armed cell of Al-Qassam launched RPG shells at two buildings, which were later revealed to have been booby-trapped by a military force.

The explosive materials utilized by Israeli forces led to the demolition of the targeted structures.

Furthermore, the investigation indicates that the armed cell fired a shell at a tank positioned near the buildings, resulting in the death of two soldiers inside.

The cell reportedly appeared suddenly from the fields, approached within dozens of meters, and then successfully evaded capture.

Israeli Chief of Staff emphasized the ongoing nature of the conflict, foreseeing a prolonged battle that may necessitate the deployment of reserve forces.

He clarified that the fallen soldiers lost their lives during a defensive operation aimed at securing conditions for residents in the Gaza envelope area to safely return home.
