Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will receive Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Al Hariri on Monday, according to the Cairo-based daily Al Gomhuria.
A Lebanese official source said that discussions between Mubarak and Hariri would focus on the latest international developments in the wake of the terrorist attacks in the US, and their impact on Arab and Islamic countries.
Meanwhile, a European parliamentary delegation is currently holding talks with Egyptian Parliament Speaker Fathi Suroor and the head of the Egyptian Shura Council, Mustafa Kamal Hilmi.
“The European delegation will meet with Egyptian political parties and non-governmental organizations' representatives to discuss Egyptian-European relations and joint European moves to combat international terrorism, in addition to economic relations under the agreement signed by both sides on July 25, 2001,” said the press attaché at the EU embassy to Egypt - Albawaba.com
