On Wednesday, Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, pardoned a number of prisoners serving jail sentences in Dubai prisons, according to WAM.
In accordance with the amnesty issued by the Ruler, Dubai Crown Prince and Minister of Defense General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum ordered that around 134 prisoners from different nationalities be released with immediate effect.
The amnesty was issued on the occasion of the Eid Al Adha, according to General Dhahi Khalfan, Commander-In-Chief of the Dubai Police. (Albawaba.com)
