Trapeze Networks, the award-winning global provider of Smart Mobile wireless solutions, has announced that PRO TECHnology has successfully deployed Trapeze network solutions at the UNESCO Regional Centre for Educational Planning, located within the Sharjah University campus.
Among the Trapeze solutions implemented by PRO TECHnology are the Mobility Point (access points) MP-372 and MP-620, which provide wireless LAN access within and outside the UNESCO building. The Mobility Exchange Switch MX-200 and the Avaya IP telephony were also implemented during the 30-day installation project.

The key features of the Trapeze network solutions installed at the UNESCO centre include Wireless IP telephony solutions (VOIP) using the Wi-Fi phone Nokia E61i, data and internet connection for more than 100 guests and 50 employees within and outside the building, and centralised wireless LAN management.

The UNESCO Regional Centre for Educational Planning is primarily involved in generating, expanding and sharing educational planning knowledge to help countries in the Gulf region improve their educational capacity. It also aims to raise awareness about specific issues that affect the development of the education sector.
