Rapper Puff Daddy agreed to his movie debut on one condition -
that he can get some free advertising for his clothes line Sean John.
The rapper and designer makes his acting debut in Made and insisted on wearing his own designs on camera.
Director Jon Favreau says, "he wore his own wardrobe a lot.
Whenever we presented him with an outfit, he'd be like 'you know
what I have another idea.’
"He'd bring in some of his stuff, which worked very well for
that character. And of course it was free advertising for him too."
Meanwhile, Favreu insists the rap star is going to wow the critics with his debut movie performance.
He says fans won't be disappointed.
"He is great and probably most of the credit I get
for this film is for discovering this guy that really came out of
the woodwork,” explains Favreau.
"Puffy is a guy not to be messed with. Hats off to him for taking
on a role in an independent film; and a supporting role at that."
He adds, "Jennifer (Lopez, Puff Daddy’s boyfriend) came down to the set and he really had his groove. He's really fantastic in this role, people are going to be really happy with his performance" – WENN, (Melanie Bromley, Los Angeles).
