Al-Qaeda's chief, Ayman al-Zawahiri, has called on Muslims from Arab Spring countries to unite and form one giant Islamic state, AP reported on Sunday.
In a series of online announcements the leader of the terrorist group also warned France about its intervention in Mali, where the Islamic Maghreb branch of al-Qaeda was attempting to take control.
"I warn France that it will meet in Mali, with God's permission, the same fate America met in Iraq and Afghanistan," Al-Zawahiri said in an audio message posted late on Saturday.
The militant chief also underlined his support for rebellious Muslim everywhere but urged them to come together to form one giant Ummah, or Islamic state.
