A psychiatric hospital - the first of its kind in Qatar - is to be set up next year in Doha, according to Gulf Times.
The hospital is to be built at the present site of the Medical Commission which will be eventually shifted to its new premises at Abu Hamour.
The first full scale hospital was opened in the Gulf emirate in 1959, since then Qatar has succeeded in building a strong welfare state, and have finally managed to build a full set of medical institutions of the highest standards – Albawaba.com
