Foreigners working in Qatari government departments are to be exempted from paying visa and residence permit fees, according to a draft proposal approved by Qatar's concerned committee for legislative matters.
According to the proposal, cited by the Gulf Times newspaper, those taking up employment in government and quasi-government departments and agencies, whether recruited locally or abroad, will also be exempted from paying visa fees – Albawaba.com
