Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Thani arrived in Sanaa on Wednesday for bilateral talks with Yemeni officials, reported the official news agency Saba.

The Qatari official, leading a high-ranking delegation, will hold talks Thursday with Prime Minister Abdel Qader Bajammal and other senior officials, said the agency.

On May 14, Yemeni Vice President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi arrived in Qatar for a two-day visit in which he held talks with senior officials focusing on bilateral relations in various fields.

The official conveyed a message for the Qatari emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, from Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh, dealing with developments in the Palestinian territories and the dangers that "oppressive Israeli policies" there posed to Mideast peace.

He said he and the Qatari officials would discuss ways of supporting the Palestinian people and their rights - Albawaba.com
