The mystery that has energised Qatar was solved this morning, when the company behind the “Fuel Your Senses” campaign was revealed to be none other than Qtel.

People across Qatar have been charmed by the campaign and its mystery website, www.fuelyoursenses.qa, over the past few weeks, with thousands enjoying free banana boats rides on the Corniche, audiovisual attractions at malls and even customised t-shirts given away for free at stands across the country.

Qtel developed the campaign to deliver a world of new sensations for the people of Qatar, reflecting the new experiences it offers every day to its customers.

Dr. Nasser Marafih, Chief Executive Officer, Qtel, said: “Every act of communication offers a new sensation for people – excitement, satisfaction, surprise or peace of mind – and we really wanted a campaign that embodied that. All of our services help to engage people’s senses and emotions, and ‘Fuel Your Senses’ really captures that.”

One of the major aims of the campaign was to involve and excite as many people as possible, with thousands taking part over the Eid break.

Many of the activities connected to the launch have been designed to stimulate different senses, whether through massage chairs placed across Qatar (“a sense of peace”) or through the wide range of water-based activities at beaches and along the Corniche (“a sense of adventure”). The “Fuel Your Senses” campaign comes with a refreshed new look for Qtel, built around a shared sense of pride and purpose.

“Qatar is an increasingly exciting country, where new things are happening built upon our deep and lasting traditions, and we wanted to celebrate that with our customers. People have been commenting all month how much they’ve enjoyed the activities available across Qatar, and that has given everyone at Qtel who has known about the campaign a real sense of pride,” added Dr. Nasser.

The experiences and opportunities will continue to be available over the coming weeks, and everybody in Qatar is invited to participate for free.

Interactive screen booths, which change image at the sound of your voice, have been set-up at Villagio Mall and City Centre. Visitors can also get free ice skating tickets and free movie tickets at www.fuelyoursenses.qa

You can also get a free customised T-Shirt at Landmark Mall at a special booth, and even enjoy free banana boat rides and dhow cruises at special locations across Qatar.
