Qatar Telecom (Qtel) QSC clarified that its acquisition of shares in Liberty Telecoms Holdings Inc. was part of its previously reported investment in its financial statements of 2008. The recent share transfers consolidate previous share holdings under a subsidiary of Qtel and do not result in any increased ownership stake for Qtel in Liberty.
