Quake rocks western Turkey

An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale late Sunday shook the Dardanelles and the western Turkish town of Canakkale without causing damage, according to Anatolia news agency

 

The epicentre was located in the Saros Gulf, in the north of the Aegean Sea on the border between Turkey and Greece, according to the Kandilli seismological research center at the University of the Bosphorus, the agency added. 

 

The quake was felt in several neighboring provinces, but no damage was reported. (Albawaba.com)
