Rakeen Partners Middle East GRI 2008 and Brings Additional Expertise to Discussion on Middle Eastern Investors Abroad
Global Real Estate Institute (GRI) Exhibition Arrives in the UAE – the First Time in the Middle East
Rakeen, one of the region's most dynamic property developers and the land master planner in Ras Al Khaimah, will play partner to the Global Real Estate Institute (GRI), being held at the Park Hyatt Hotel, Dubai Creek from 18th to 19th March – and for the first time in the Middle East.
Dr. Imad Haffar, Chief Operating Officer of Rakeen said: “We are proud to partner GRI as they bring their renowned exhibition to this region for the first time. Bringing together the expertise of well-established and high-profile real estate players from around the world, GRI provides a great opportunity to share and discuss ideas and insights.
“We look forward to sharing this unique platform with other international real estate companies. We anticipate that the networking will allow us to highlight our many projects outside the UAE, including Iran, India, Congo and Georgia.”
With no speeches and no panels, GRI encourages active participation from all attendees by allowing only discussions to take place. The role of discussion chairpeople at GRI is therefore to enable everyone else to talk, ensuring complete involvement and maximum connection with senior industry peers for all delegates.
Marc-Henri Veyrassat, Rakeen’s Business Development Director, will be co-chairing the discussion titled ‘Middle Eastern Investors Abroad – Is Their Appetite Endless?’ Additional panel members hail from France, UK, Bahrain and Hong Kong.
Commenting on the subject matter, Marc-Henri said, “Property investment has seen exponential growth in the UAE for some time now, with all of the emirates seeing a sharp rise in the numbers of ardent investors eager to ensure they don’t miss out on the boom.
“We are also seeing an increase in Middle Eastern investors going abroad for properties, and the discussion aims to shed further light on these current trends, as well as looking at hopes and forecasts on future growth.” Veyrassat will be co-chairing on Tuesday 18th March between 2:30 and 3:45pm.
Rakeen recently launched Bab Al Bahr, the AED 1.2 billion idyllic resort development, and has an illustrious portfolio of projects in the pipeline for Ras Al Khaimah, including Al Marjan Island, the first man-made island for the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
