UAE's Ras Al Khaimah educational district has recruited 170 teachers to offset a shortage that has developed in the past two years, the Gulf News reported Thursday.
According to the daily, girls' schools in particular face an acute shortage of teachers.
A senior official was quoted by the paper as saying, "a technical committee has been formed to ascertain the exact number needed."
