A report said Sunday that senior British security officials fear that “Iraqi spies, posing as asylum seekers, are arriving in Britain in an effort to smuggle in chemical and biological weapons intended for terrorist organizations.”

The British weekly, Sunday Express, said that British customs officials have asked the MI5 security service to assist them in tracking refugees and political asylum seekers suspected of being impostors.

Britain fears that Iraq is producing large amounts of the Anthrax bacteria and is trying to sell it to terrorist organizations.

In an operation conducted in the past eight months by MI5 and the CIA, with the help of information obtained by the Israeli Mossad, the spy services claimed that Iraqi government officials have been meeting with members of Basque, Kosovar and Macedonian “terror organizations” in the Balkan area, the paper reported, cited by the Israeli Haaretz daily.

Terror experts told the paper that the Iraqi administration forces citizens who leave Iraq to carry biological weapons with them, and threaten to harm family members and friends remaining in Iraq if they refuse to do so.

In light of the information, British terror experts were stationed at European border crossing stations where refugees from Iraq can be found trying to pass through.

The paper added that Iraq has increased efforts to manufacture biological weapons, and that the United States intends to carry out attacks on Iraq to destroy sites in which biological weapons are stored and manufactured – Albawaba.com
