Iranian President Mohammad Khatami will visit Saudi Arabia this week, the English-language paper Iran Daily
reported on Monday. According to "informed sources," Khatami will meet Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz on regional and global issues.
"Khatami's government has declared that improving ties to the Arab world is among its top priorities," the newspaper said. Official Saudi Arabian sources have not confirmed the news on the visit.
