Last year, the number of hotels in Kuwait increased to 36, say a jump of 71 percent compared to 21 in 2001, a Ministry of Planning statistical report indicated.
The annual statistical group's report for 2002 showed that the total number of hotels rooms in Kuwait amounted to 2,700 rooms, while suites reached 716. According to the report, Kuwait has six five-star class hotels, eight four-star hotels, and five three-star hotels.
