Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has invited the ruler of Qatar, the Emir Hamad Bin Khalifa al-Thani, to attend late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin’s 10-year memorial ceremony, according to the Wednesday's edition of the London-based newspaper al-Sharq al-Awsat. The ceremony will be held on November 4th.
If the Qatari leader accepts the invitation it will be his first public visit in Israel.
Other world leaders invited to attend the ceremony include Egypt’s President Mubarak, Jordan’s King Abdullah II, King of Morocco Mohammed VI, President Bush, the Clintons, and European leaders.
