Saudi bomb disposal experts have defused bombs planted at a shopping mall in the Red Sea port city of Jeddah, a Saudi-owned newspaper reported on Sunday.
Three bombs made from sticks of dynamite were discovered on Saturday morning in the emergency exits of Al-Mihmal shopping center during a routine morning check, the London-based Asharq al-Awsat daily reported.
It quoted Saudi sources as saying the bombs were amateurishly made and were set to go off at nine in the morning on Saturday. All four floors of the centre and an adjacent nine-storey office block were evacuated after the explosives were discovered, the daily added. (Albawaba.com)
