More than 370,000 tourists visited the red- rose city of Petra in 2005, say an increase of 25%. ''Between 1000 to 2000 persons is the daily range of visitors to the ancient city of Petra,'' Director of Petra Reservation Suleiman Farajat told Jordan News Agency.
