OPEC will likely postpone a meeting in Geneva of oil ministers until Monday because of Austria's day of mourning called for the victims of a funicular railcar inferno in the Austrian Alps, Venezuelan oil minister Ali Rodriguez said.

"You know we are in mourning in this country for the tragedy and most probably we will not have an official meeting today," said Rodriguez, currently the president of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

"That is the most likely" outcome, he told reporters. "If it is not today it will be tomorrow.

"We are going to discuss it this evening," he said.

OPEC ministers have expressed their condolences to the Austrian government following Saturday's blaze that killed 153 people in a tunnel on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier, 350 kilometers (220 miles) west of Vienna – VIENNA (AFP)
