An American citizen who fled to Romania after being convicted by a US court of money laundering was sent home Wednesday, the police said.
David Raimer, 46, was expelled from the country and put on a plane bound for New York, said a police source.
Rainer, who got into Romania using a fake passport, has also been ordered by a US court to pay back 1.5 million dollars.
He becomes the second American citizen in less than two months to be expelled from Romania after fleeing there to escape justice at home -- BUCHAREST (AFP)
