rotana reveals details of hala sarhan's new live ramadan program: “kanat 5 nojoom”
Rotana has finally removed the wraps from dr. Hala Sarhan's new Ramadan “Kanat 5 Nojoom” and disclosed details of the two-hour live entertainment program, which is to be broadcasted daily in 30 episodes filmed live from Beirut during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
In each episode, Dr. Hala hosts two stars, one of them to play the role of the CEO of the “Kanat 5 Nojoom” and the other to play the role of the Guest of this so-called “5 Star-Channel”. Hala Sarhan is present throughout the entire show, playing a variety of parts in addition to her role as the hostess.
“Kanat 5 Nojoom” opens with a dance tableau, the theme varying in each episode, and the action takes place in eight different settings: the boardroom, the talk show set, the newsroom set, the kitchen, and the reception set. The Guest Star will perform three live songs during the show, accompanied by a 15 piece live orchestra.
In addition to the Board of Administration scene, each episode will feature specific sections such as the Talk Show in which the guest chooses a specific subject for discussion, with an expert on the subject participating in the discussion. There is also a kitchen set where there will be the scene of a Cookery Show in which the guest cooks his favorite dish.
Certain episodes may feature additional sections such as the Candid Camera, in which the guest is the victim, the New Look section where the guest's appearance is changed using Photoshop, coverage of other main Ramadan programs through phone calls and reports, and a Press Conference section with real journalists and reporters participating.
Other features of “Kanat 5 Nojoom” will include live phone calls, sms and televisual link-ups with different countries.
Hala Sarhan's “Kanat 5 Nojoom” is an innovative new form of TV entertainment and is a key component of Rotana's campaign to capture the widest possible audience of viewers during this Ramadan.
