R+T Middle East, the only professional trade show dedicated to roller shutters, doors gates and sun protection in the MENA region, has announced that it will hold a GCC-wide roadshow from April 2010 with stops in Oman, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait. R+T Middle East will make its widely anticipated debut from May 10 to 12, 2010, at the new exhibition halls of the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC), to be held concurrently with DOMOTEX Middle East 2010, the MENA region's only dedicated trade show for carpets and floor coverings.

The roadshow seeks to leverage the strong growth potential in the region for specialised sun protection, doors/gates, windows and access control systems, as in the GCC alone construction projects being undertaken from 2009 to 2011 have been estimated to reach more than USD 1.1 trillion in total value. R+T Middle East is jointly organised by Deutsche Messe Dubai Branch and Messe Stuttgart, and is also under the technical and conceptual sponsorship of the Federal Association for Manufacturers of Roller shutters and Sun protection (Bundesverband Rollladen + Sonnenschutz e.V.) and the National Federation of Door and Gate Manufacturers (BVT - Verband Tore).

Angela Schaschen, Managing Director, Deutsche Messe Dubai Branch, said, "We are receiving a very positive response from developers, contractors and distributors across the GCC for the R+T Middle East. Being the region's pioneering trade event for sun protection, doors/gates and access control systems, R+T Middle East definitely brings optimal value as it creates a more convenient, accessible and high-profile networking platform for all stakeholders in the construction and related industries. The roadshow aims to further enhance the value proposition of R+T Middle East by providing an exciting preview of the event, while also allowing us to interact and determine the specific requirements of our target markets."

R+T Middle East 2010 will feature a comprehensive range of products and services, including roller shutters and accessories; windows, window shutters and accessories; awnings; Venetian blinds and roller blinds; doors/gates and accessories; drive and control systems; electrical security equipment; business fittings and furnishings; and technical literature. The event will also seek to sustain the momentum generated by R+T 2009 held at the New Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre and the recently held R+T Asia 2010 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, which attracted more than 330 exhibitors from eight countries and over 13,000 visitors.
