Russia has delivered 30 T-72 tanks to Yemen under a contract signed in March by the two sides, reported AFP Wednesday.
The tanks, built in 1992-94, were shipped to Yemen on the eve of a visit to Sanaa by Russian Defense Minister Igor Sergeyev, Yemen Times said.
Yemen is also keen to purchase Russia's modern SU-27 fighter aircraft, multiple-rocket launch systems and air defense units, AFP quoted Russian military chief Sergei Chemezov as saying.
