ALBAWABA - A Russian drone attack injured at least 36 people in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, the region’s governor announced Wednesday morning, marking the third consecutive night the city has come under attack.
Moscow intensified strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure recently, while Kyiv continues to target oil depots, refineries, and other energy facilities inside Russia.
Kharkiv police reported that at least 36 people were injured in the latest overnight attack, which damaged more than 10 residential buildings, a school, a supermarket, and an ambulance substation.

State media quoted Yevhen Vasylenko, a spokesman for the regional emergency service, stating rescue workers and police evacuated 48 people — including three children — from a smoke-filled apartment entrance.
On Wednesday morning, air-raid alerts were issued across Ukraine, with authorities in several western cities warning residents to take shelter.
Lviv Governor Andriy Sadovyi wrote on Telegram: “The enemy is targeting western Ukraine with drones. Do not ignore the warning — stay in shelters. Residents of Lviv region, do not post photos, videos, or any information. Maintain media silence.”
Ukraine’s Energy Ministry said Russian attacks triggered emergency power outages in several regions.
In October, Moscow launched its largest bombing campaign against Ukrainian gas facilities since the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022.
Notably, the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is touring Europe in an effort to rally military support and reinforce the country’s energy infrastructure.
