A Russian Communist Party delegation, led by the party’s Deputy Chairman, Valentine Koptsov arrived in Damascus on Wednesday, upon an invitation extended by the National Leadership of the Ba’ath Arab Socialist Party.
In a statement to a SANA correspondent, Koptsov said that the aim of the visit was to exchange viewpoints regarding the current situations in the region and to listen to the Syrian leadership’s opinion towards them as well as to develop existing relations of cooperation between the two parties.
In the course of the visit, the Russian delegation is expected to hold party and political talks with Syrian state and party officials. (Albawaba.com)
