Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov will visit Libya on Sunday for talks with the country's leader, Muammar Kadhafi, reported the official Kuwait news agency KUNA on Thursday.
The agency said that Ivanov’s visit was at the invitation of his Libyan counterpart Abdulrahman Shalkam, who visited Moscow last July.
Russia's top Middle East special envoy, Vasily Sredin, was quoted as telling Inter Fax news agency that Moscow and Tripoli maintained regular political and economic dialogue on regional and international issues.
