ALBAWABA - After Donald Trump's election, the Russian Foreign Ministry reiterated that Moscow's attitude is unchanged and that Washington is aware of Russia's demands.

The Russian Foreign Ministry's website noted that Trump's return to the White House after four years was a sign of American discontent with the Biden administration and the Democratic Party's agenda, which Vice President Kamala Harris quickly took up after Biden's exit.

Despite an intensive Democratic campaign supported by administrative resources and leftist media, Trump focused on economic stability and illegal immigration, which resonated with Americans. Harris and her campaign lost despite the ministry's criticism of the U.S. voting system's outmoded and opaque nature.

However, the Russian Foreign Ministry observed that Trump's triumph did not change the US's profound social differences, where the vote remains practically evenly split. Democratic and Republican states are divided over progressive and traditional ideals. The remark suggests Trump's return will exacerbate internal tensions.

The ministry said it had no illusions about the next government or Republican-majority Congress, as first findings show. It said that the U.S. political class, regardless of party, opposes Russia and wants to “containing Moscow.” The ministry said this strategy endures despite U.S. political rhetoric, such as Trump's “America First” or Democrats' “rules-based international order.”

The statement said that Russia would engage with the next government to protect Russian national interests and achieve its military goals. "Our conditions remain unchanged and are well-known in Washington," the ministry said.
