Sakhr Software will help the Libyan IT center to publish the National Libyan Encyclopedia on CDs and on the Internet, reported HiTech magazine.
Sakhr will provide the center with technical support, applications and training.
The Encyclopedia will include political, social, and economic data taken from the national records, in addition to 36,000 images and video clips, the magazine said.
The center will use Sakhr's Arabic OCR (Advanced Edition) to convert written text into electronic text that could be easily modified, and NasherNet (version2), which allows the creation of HTML 4 pages and the management of bilingual websites, added the magazine - Albawaba.com
