Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd announced today the launch of a new website dedicated to the Saudi market. The Arabic site, developed on asp technology, is another step that demonstrates Samsung’s ongoing dedication and commitment to providing innovative, cutting-edge technology and services for its local customers.
“The user-friendly site means more than just a trendy means of showcasing Samsung products and highlighting the company's regional activities”, said Inamullah Butt, Samsung’s Marketing Manager in Saudi Arabia. “Reiterated Samsung’s commitment to providing our Saudi customers with a tailored experience. It is more than an Arab-ized version of the company’s original site. We are enhancing technical and marketing support services in the local users’ language.”
Accessed through Samsung’s local domain, www.samsung.com.sa, the site is part of Samsung’s drive to reinforce ties with its consumers across the Kingdom. It offers access around the clock for product information, available retail outlets, sales partners and service centers and product updates. Technical support can be accessed by email. Through the website, users can request a service, or report any technical problem they have with Samsung products; the complaint then will go directly to the product manager in charge of that category, who will contact the customer to offer helpful tips or to set a date for service. In the near future live on-line technical support, English version, B2C Online purchase facility, promotions information, continues online contests, and information on upcoming products.
The Saudi market has a niche for high end household products and mobile phones. “These rapidly growing market sectors are also Samsung fortes, which is reflected in our brand’s steadily growing share locally,” highlighted Butt. “The trend has been further accelerated by the rapid advancement in technology at affordable prices, such as our award winning High Definition televisions.”
To celebrate the new website, Samsung announced its “Click & Win” competition where the registered local users during the first three months will get the chance to win one of three Samsung High Definition LCD (HDTV) televisions.
Samsung has recently been awarded a contract in partnership with a leading Saudi telecom services provider, to deploy the largest Mobile WiMAX network in the region. “We are very excited to be key providers in this fast paced market,” commented Butt. “The telecommunication industry plays an important role in advancing of all countries. Locally, this sector is experiencing rapid growth. Overall the rate of technology and business development seen now in Saudi is extremely powerful.”
