Around 30 people were killed and at least 100 people were injured this morning due to explosions in the center of the capital, Sana’a, according to a source from the Ministry of Health.
The huge explosions rocked the capital Sana’a as the Saudi-led coalition warplanes launched new strikes on Houthi military targets. The air raids targeted the Special Security camp, formerly known as the Central Security located in the center of the city.
Locals said that they have seen a number of ambulances going into the area to transport the wounded to the nearest hospitals.
A nurse in Al Sabeen Hospital located close to Special Security camp said, “ We felt the hospital was shaking, people were panicking, the explosion was huge and those injured are still being admitted to the hospital.”
Locals said that the explosions were intense, and heavy smoke was seen from the Special Security headquarters. “This morning was terrifying, we felt that the house was going to collapse on our heads, and smoke covered the entire area,” said Manal Ali one of the residents living close to the Kentucky Roundabout in Haddah.
