Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have pledged to donate 50,000 tons of agricultural aid to Sudan.

A ship carrying more than 50,000 tons of agricultural nutrients (Urea) and supplies needed by farmers will be dispatched from the Jubail Industrial Port in Saudi Arabia to Sudan, in order to salvage the agricultural season in the country, said an official source according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The aid was ordered by the Saudi and Emirati leaderships, reflecting the stances that support the brotherly people of Sudan in their current crisis, it added.

The source said the aid is an extension of the $3 billion financial support provided by Saudi Arabia and the UAE, including $500 million deposited at the Central Bank of Sudan.
