Saudi Arabian Airlines has successfully contested the revoking of the licenses of four Saudi pilots by US authorities on the grounds they posed a security threat, a spokesman for the national carrier said on Sunday.

"Lawyers for Saudi Arabian Airlines have appealed to concerned (US) authorities to return the revoked licenses," the spokesman said, quoted by SPA news agency.

Licenses for co-pilots Nabil Mohammad Adawi and Khaled Fahd al-Olayan were returned on January 22, the spokesman said.

The status of the licenses of pilots Maan Hassan Zarie and Tarek Hassan Jifry has been reduced from revoked to suspended and lawyers have appealed to have the suspension lifted, the spokesman added. (Albawaba.com)
