Saudi Arabia's ministry of interior has warned citizens against practices of fraud that may come from inside or outside the kingdom, reported Saudi Press Agency Wednesday.

The ministry said in a statement that it has noticed recently that some citizens have been receiving contacts from some fraudulents residing outside the kingdom with pseudonymous names, the agency said.

"These deceitful persons ask the people they contact to send to them amounts of money at certain addresses abroad after fooling them that the money will yield great profits," the statement said.

The statement added that "fraudulents ask the people they contact to provide them with money under the pretext of ensuring certain requirements and extending service and in particular to prominent figures and high-ranking officials, or for organization of scientific conferences."

They send messages by fax and make contacts with the targeted persons so as to deceive them, added the statement.

It indicated that some foreigners coming to the kingdom try to fool their victims by alleging that they are capable of turning black papers into genuine bank notes, according to the agency -
