Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz discussed issues of mutual concern with Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf during a phone call on Tuesday, according to the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The two officials discussed the latest developments in world events and issues of mutual concern, the agency said.
It is understood that Musharraf updated the prince on the results of the Pakistani leader's talks Tuesday in Islamabad with US Secretary of State Colin Powell, who is currently on a tour of the region.
Saudi Arabia and Pakistan were two of three countries that recognized Taliban rule in Afghanistan, but the Arab kingdom severed ties with the militia after they refused to cooperate in the fight against terrorism, rejecting demands to hand over the Saudi dissident Osama bin Laden and his lieutenants – Albawaba.com
