Saudi King Fahd bin Abdulaziz has sent a cable of congratulations to President Muawia Wild Ahmed Altaya' of Mauritania on foiling the coup attempt which took place in Mauritania recently.
In his cable, the Saudi Arabian King said, "we followed with concern the coup attempt which took place in Mauritania and were pleased of your being able to control the situation, thanks to God Almighty," according to the Saudi Press Agency.
King Fahd wished President Altaya' health and the people of Mauritania steady progress, security and prosperity. (Albawaba.com)
