Saudi-led coalition airstrikes overnight in Yemen killed at least ten people, in violation of a temporary UN-brokered humanitarian truce, relatives and medical sources told Reuters on Sunday.
Eight family members were killed in a strike on Saturday night as they were travelling in several vehicles in the central province of al-Baida. Two other civilians were killed in the southern city of Taiz, Reuters reported.
The UN-brokered moratorium on the conflict was meant to last a week to allow aid agencies access to Yemen’s 21 million residents who have endured more than three months of clashes and bombardment.
A witness told Reuter airstrikes on the Yemeni capital Sanaa resumed Sunday morning.
