An unknown gunman shot dead the Deputy Governor of the northern Saudi province of Jouf on Monday and escaped, according to an interior ministry spokesman.
Hamad al-Wardi, 50, was killed while driving by car to his office in the town of Sakaka and died immediately.
The ministry spokesman, quoted by SPA news agency, said the shooting occurred early in the morning and an investigation had been launched. (Albawaba.com)
